What is ZubeHost?

ZubeHost is the first tube service where you get paid for uploading videos.

It's like YouTube in that you upload videos to our servers and we do all of the work for you.

It's NOT like YouTube because you get to show your own advertising when your videos are shown to the public. That means you get paid when you use ZubeHost. When you use YouTube, Google takes all the value and leaves you with nothing in return.

ZubeHost is THE zero-cost tube hosting solution. We develop the software, we host it for you, it costs you nothing and you get paid in the process.

How much does it cost?

It costs you nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada. We do not charge you for anything.

We do not charge you for:

• the software we have developed at great expense to ourselves and allow you to use for free
• the insane amount of bandwidth that you will surely use if you build a large site
• the hardware which we have purchased for your use

It is absolutely free to create an account, upload videos and send as many people as you want to watch the videos. Put your own ads on the page and watch the money roll in.

How is ZubeHost different from XYZ tube script?

There are quite a number of differences, but here are the major ones:

• ZubeHost will make you more money.

  The whole point of ZubeHost is that webmasters will band together and sell their ads for more money than they can make alone.

  For this reason alone you should consider ZubeHost. You'll make more money with ZubeHost than you can make on your own.

• ZubeHost is free.

  Other tube scripts, no matter which one you choose to buy, are expensive. When you buy a tube script, here are the costs you can expect to incur:

  • The Script = $2,500 or more for a good one.
  • Servers = $10,000 or more just to get started (that's 2 really cheap servers, good only for a very small site).
  • Hosting/Colo = $1,000 per month for the 2 primary servers, network connections, power, rack space, backups, 24x7 technical support.
  • CDN = $1,000 per month for 100 Mbps, that's very cheap pricing and a pretty small tube site.
  • Upgrade fees = $500 every time the script releases a new version - IF you're lucky and they DO release new versions. Most tube script authors offer very poor support.

  Add it up, that's $14,500 in the first month, and an additional $2,000 per month after that, not counting when your site starts to grow and you need to buy more servers or pay for an upgrade to the script you thought was so great.

How can I make more money with ZubeHost than by myself?

A single site with a lot of traffic has much more influence on advertisers than a lot of individual people with small traffic. By joining the ZubeHost network you will soon have the option to use ZubeHost's ad brokerage service to sell your traffic. We will bundle it together with the other webmasters in the program and will sell it for higher prices than you could all get alone.

An added benefit of this is that you don't have to spend any time trying to find the best ad deals! ZubeHost will do it for you. We've been in the ad business for a very long time - we've got you covered.

So instead of spending your time trying to figure out how to make the most money, you can spend your time building up your site, marketing it to your users, adding new content and sipping Mai Tais on the beach. We'll do the ads for you and we'll send you the money.

When will ZubeHost open these brokerage services?

Our focus for the time being is building up the network. We are adding new features to help you set up and maintain sites as easily as possible. We are promoting to webmasters to try to get as many people using the service as we can get.

Once we think we have enough webmasters and enough traffic that we will really have some pull in the advertising world we will contact you to introduce the brokerage services. It could be months, it could be longer.

In the interim, we're burning VC money. We'll use our capital to buy more servers, hire more developers, add more features and generally make ZubeHost the coolest product on the market.

What if I don't like the service?

It's your domain, so you can point the DNS anywhere you want and you won't lose any traffic. There is really no risk to you in trying out the service.

If you don't like it, just change your DNS to point your domain somewhere else. We hope that you contact us first to suggest what services you would like to see us add in order for you to stay. But that's really up to you. You control the domain, you control the traffic. Work with us or don't, it's completely your decision to make.

Who are you guys?

ZubeHost is currently 3 software developers and a guy who knows business. We've been building web services since the web was in its infancy and we are bringing this expertise to you in what we hope will be a win-win for both of us.

We made our money in the early Internet days (who didn't?), we got bored and decided let's find a cool thing to do. YouTube looked cool and wow they are making tons of money on that deal, so why not make a YouTube that would make YOU money instead of Google? Sounded like a good idea.
